Suzanne and Andy in Santa Monica...

It was a beautiful day and an even more beautiful (and fun!) wedding. Suzanne and Andy were married right on the beach at the beautiful and private Jonathan Club in Santa Monica. The location holds a special place in their hearts because they are normally rollerblading past it! While Suzanne would tell you that she's not a fan of being on film... you would never have known... she shined on the camera (as did her mom... who would tell you that she is also not a fan of the camera.)

I'll be seeing Suzanne and Andy this coming weekend in Palm Springs at the wedding of their friends, Jenn and Carl (who referred Suzanne and Andy to me). I can't wait to celebrate with them again!

The wall of windows gave us such beautiful shadows and light.

Doesn't Suzanne look lovely here? I love the diffused look of the veil. She was about 5 minutes away from saying "I do."
They did!

And then... they danced. Wow! They were great. I was so impressed. A beautiful mom to be...

Carrie is beautiful (and tiny for being over 8 months pregnant). We had such a great time during her pregnancy portrait session. She absolutely glowed and made it so easy for me.
Their dog Chase was not a big fan of the attention not being on him. Look at those puppy dog eyes!
Her husband Rod was very supportive... bringing her peanut butter covered graham crackers (I ate some, too) and an energy drink during the session to make sure she kept up her strength. We even convinced him to be in the pictures.




Their other dog, Cooper, gave Carrie a kiss but wasn't too sure about the lady with the big lens.

How about that leopard coat! What a haute mama!!!

After Carrie saw the pictures she mentioned that she wasn't sure if she was going to be up for taking pictures that day but that I made her feel good about herself and very comfortable... she said she even had a good time!

I can't wait to do more of these sessions. It is such a beautiful (and emotional) time in a woman's (and a man's) life and it's pretty special to be able to capture that time in fine art portraits.
